The bee collects honey from flowers in such a way as to do the least damage or destruction to them, and she leaves them whole, undamaged and fresh, just as she found them.

About Us

This newspaper article was written about our great grandfather. In the article he speaks of working through the great depression. Honey was worth $.15 at the time. This article was written well before 1974 which was when our family bought an additional apiary in South Dakota.

We have been keeping bees for four generations, spanning nearly 100 years. Our family’s beekeeping operation began during the great depression when my great-grandfather received 15 beehives as a repayment of a debt when cash was virtually non-existent. Having such a long lineage of knowledge has bestowed a deep-rooted understanding of the evolution of beekeeping, from traditional techniques to modern beekeeping practices.

The benefit of being such a storied beekeeping operation is that we have the ability to control the quality of the product from the moment the bees first touch the flower to gather nectar until their incredible and untampered honey is packaged into the bottle.

Our Partners

The most rewarding aspect of our business is meeting and developing close relationships with individuals and businesses that use our raw honey and virgin beeswax to create amazing products. From skincare and cosmetics to artisan candles, there is no lack of creativity when it comes to what you can create.
